Our Town
La Verne, California, is a small city in Los Angeles County with a population of just over 31,000. We are nestled just below the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, 30 miles east of Los Angeles. California State Route 210 passes through the town from the east to west, and the Historic Route 66 passes through the city.
We also are home to the University of La Verne, a private university that offers degrees in arts & sciences, business and public management, education, law, and medicine. There are a number of campuses in and around Los Angeles and Ventura County, from Oxnard to Victorville.
The town was founded by Isaac E. Lord, who purchased a tract of land from ranch owner Jose Palomares. He convinced the Santa Fe Railroad Company to run its line through his land toward Los Angeles and named the town Lordsburg after himself. In 1906 the town incorporated to become La Verne and flourished as the center of the citrus industry.
Our Team
We are proud of our team, who are ready with their knowledge and experience to help you get the best smile you can. Our two general care and implant specialists are Dr. Johnny Nigoghosian and Dr. Harry Nigoghosian.
Dr. Johnny Nigoghosian is from Pasadena, California, and attended the University of Southern California where he got his undergraduate degree in a double major of Biology and Health Promotion & Disease. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the USC School of Dentistry, where he graduated at the top of his class. He is passionate about incorporating conventional and modern dental techniques while treating his patients with the latest advancements in dentistry.
Dr. Harry Nigoghosian is from Pasadena, California, and with his brother studied at USC where he graduated at the top of his class at the USC School of Dentistry. He is committed to treating being the best La Verne dentist he can be and is always seeking to expand his expertise by taking continuing education courses. He has a passion for dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. In his spare time, he likes to deep-sea fish, spend time with family and friends, and watch sports.
